Workforce Transportation Pilot Project Updates

Through a 3.2 million dollar Wisconsin Workforce Innovation Grant, a rural transportation ride share pilot program was developed to help employees get to work in Waupaca County. The program started in December of 2021 and served Waupaca County employees. Program ended December 31, 2025.

REsults

• Over the three years grant period, this pilot program provided a total of 22,559 completed rides to 688 unique employees and 86 employers in Waupaca County.

• Starting January 5, 2026, the Waupaca County Catch-a-ride employment ride-share will be transitioning into the Waupaca County Public Transit Program. Press Release.
